Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation — Moving Forward by Giving Back
Anyone who visits our website knows how dedicated we are to the Berkshire Taconic Community Foundation. Our annual “SHOP for a Cause” promotion has become one of our most popular events. This year we raised over $18,000 for the foundation which went directly to a local relief fund to provide immediate help for our neighbors in need. That’s what is so great about BTF. Under the umbrella of the foundation are separate local funds which benefit local communities or projects. We have 2 funds for our area: The Northeast Dutchess Fund and Fund for Columbia County.
Berkshire Taconic builds stronger communities and improves the quality of life for all residents of Berkshire County, Massachusetts; Columbia County and northeast Dutchess County, New York; and northwest Litchfield County, Connecticut. Each year they help thousands of donors achieve their charitable vision and hundreds of nonprofit organizations carry on their good work.
One of our favorite customers (and a dear friend), Sally Berg, is on BTF’s Board of Directors and on the Advisory Committee for the Fund for Columbia County. Sally has worked tirelessly for the foundation. She is dedicated, smart, knowledgeable and an incredible fundraiser having raised millions of dollars for other organizations such as SHARE, an organization offering emotional and educational support for women with breast and ovarian cancer. My friend, Rosemary Lyons, is another super-woman who also serves on the Advisory Committee with Sally. Both of these women are nothing less than a complete joy to work with.
Even though these are difficult financial times, I hope you will support the Berkshire Taconic Foundation funds in any way you can. It’s a worthwhile local charity that supports our local communities.
