HUDSON RIVER EXCHANGE’s annual Summer Market is held at the Hudson Riverfront Park in Hudson, New York. Summer Market is a weekend gathering of creativity and exchange, bringing together about 100 makers, collectors, farmers, live musicians and community organizers to celebrate creation, connection, and the scenic beauty that is the Hudson Valley.
Our summer edition featuring local residents telling personal tales. Inspired by the Moth Radio Hour but with its own unique improvised style, RPRS is already a much-anticipated program. Each storyteller weaves their own unique and authentic narrative that undoubtedly touches on themes that resonate for all. The intimate setting of the Ancram Opera House fosters an exchange that is immediate and, often, profoundly affecting.
The 2017 Fitch’s Corner Horse Trials mark the 24th anniversary of a country weekend and horse competition, which competitors, enthusiasts, and the who’s who of Dutchess County won’t miss. The United States Eventing Association awarded the Northeast Regional Championships to Fitch’s Corner in 2011, 2012, and 2013.
A favorite summer culinary event is back for its 7th year at a beautiful new location. North East Community Center (NECC) will host this year’s Chef and Farmer Brunch on Sunday, July 30 at Silo Ridge Field Club in Amenia, New York. The 800 acre private community will open its doors to the public for the popular event celebrating local chefs and farmers.
The Chef and Farmer Brunch is the ultimate farm-to-table experience. We are delighted to have Dana Cowin, the chief creative officer of Chefs Club International and former Editor-in-Chief of Food & Wine magazine, serving as the honorary committee chair for this year’s event.
