We are excited to again host acclaimed filmmaker, Jon Bowermaster, at the Watershed Center on Sunday, May 13th @ 7pm to screen three new short films on the social and environmental issues of the Hudson River Valley.
Last year, Jon presented several films from his Hudson River at Risk series and now we are treated to Hope on the Hudson: three new films that emphasize the positive work and the possibilities of a rejuvenated and socially engaged Hudson River. These films include heritage seed preservation by St. Regis Mohawk Tribe at Akwesasne, ship restoration and education on the Hudson, and the interplay of the rivers with New York City – it’s “sixth borough”.
Jon Bowermaster will introduce the films and lead discussion afterwards. For more info, please visit Hudson River Stories.
The screening is free but donations are appreciated. We will provide lite snacks. You can RSVP on our Facebook Event page. Please arrive by 6:45 so we can begin promptly.
See you soon!
