What “Sparks Joy” in Me

World-renowned tidying expert Marie Kondo helps us clear out the clutter — and choose joy.  It all began with these two little books by Marie Kondo. And of course, you can now find Marie bringing order and spreading joy on her new Netflix Series: Tidying Up With Marie Kondo.

Let’s start with what, exactly, Marie Kondo means when she uses the term “spark joy”. Literally, “spark joy” (ときめく tokimeku, (the word in Japanese) means “flutter, throb, palpitate”. “You can also define things that spark joy as things that make you happy,” Marie says.  I recently saw that her next book will be entitled “Joy at Work” so I thought about all the things we have and do at Hammertown that make me happy and/or make my heart flutter.

Here are my Top 20 palpitating picks!
