“Love Actually” – a beautiful Hudson Valley wedding set in a Circa 1799 Barn

If you’re a frequent reader of our blog, you already know I adore the film Love Actually.  I’m a sucker for love stories, happy endings, simple elegance and of course, old BARNS.  And for me, all four coalesced beautifully in one of the loveliest weddings I’ve ever attended.   It was last weekend and the weather and was PERFECT.    This was the ultimate barn wedding as far as I am concerned!

The Amazing Setting

The care the grooms took with their wedding planner, Susan Caruso, to create such a casual, yet special, event was evident.  It looked effortless, but someone like me noticed and appreciated every detail.  The farm tables under the tent, the copper flatware, the vintage plates, the linen napkins, the fabulous graphic menu, the food by Marcy Brownstein Caterers (who purchased all local ingredients at Peck’s in Pine Plains), the vintage sofas in the barn, the AMAZING flowers from Emily and Andy at Sol Flower Farm…I could go on and on but I won’t.  I’ll let the pictures tell my newest favorite love story.  (click images to enlarge)

Congratulations to the happy couple!
