Mario’s Back! Booksigning at Hammertown Rhinebeck

Posted on November 27, 2008 by Auntie M — One Comment

Mario Batali Returns to Hammertown on Sunday, December 7th from 12:00 - 1:00 pm at Hammertown Rhinebeck

Hammertown was lucky enough to welcome Mario three years ago when he signed books for a huge crowd at our Rhinebeck store.  As gracious as he is fabulous (and famous), Mario has agreed to share his culinary enthusiasm with us again this holiday season.

Spain…A Culinary Road Trip is the companion book to the prime-time public television series, Spain…On the Road Again.

The premise is simple: Mario Batali and Mark

Bittman are single-minded, food-obsessed friends who are constantly on the lookout for food, wine, and cooking that is unique to Spain - and in this series they will find it. Gwyneth Paltrow and the Spanish actress Claudia Bassols are eager to join them and enjoy all the pleasures the country has to offer, and each pair will be lured into the worlds of the other.

It’s an incredible and delicious roadtrip featuring all the pleasures of Spain — from its art and history to its fabulous cuisine.  There are hundreds of wonderful (and candid) photographs, as well as over 70 of Mario’s recipes.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Books must be purchased at Hammertown for the signing.  Due to last year’s overwhelming response, we are encouraging customers to buy the book in advance either at our Rhinebeck or our Pine Plains store.  Special book marks will be given with each book which will serve as your proof of purchase for the signing.
