Aged Zinc Table - Crafted by local artisan, Tim Jones of Stissing Design.

I’m really excited to start this new web column with this artist’s work.

The best word to describe this table is “awesome”.   I’ve always been a fan of Tim Jones’ work, but when he delivered this incredible table (the legs are 1940’s industrial cast iron and the top is aged zinc) to my home at Roundfield Farm for Mary and Bonnie’s wedding, I was knocked out.

It sat out in the field for almost a week before the wedding (that’s just one of the terrific things about this table…it can sit outside forever, and just age and get more beautiful.  If only we were so lucky!)  On the day of the wedding we used it for placing all of the hot food. The following week we brought it to the Barn and it now lives happily upstairs in our garden room.

Ok…so here’s the tip…this table is fabulous and it works because:

1.  It looks fantastic
2.  It can stay outside or in a screened-in porch and function as a outdoor table
3.  It loves being in a dining room or kitchen and makes a most fabulous big country table
4.  Custom sizing is available (the one in the Barn is 33″ wide and 9-1/2′ long)

Paradoxically, the look is country and somewhat industrial, yet this table can definitely live comfortably in any country home.

So, come to the Barn and see my favorite table!
