Ethnic Cooking Class using local ingredients.
Do you love the bounty and freshness of Hudson Valley grown produce and the diversity and flavors of ethnic cuisine? Home School Chef, Sung Uni Lee, & Hammertown Barn invites you to a unique and memorable opportunity to learn how to cook ethnic dishes with regional foods. You will gain an understanding of the healing power of food, insight into different cultures and cuisines, and unlock your own creative potential.
Before or after your visit to the Tent Sale, please join us for an Open Studios event this Labor Day Weekend in Pine Plains. Just two miles west of Hammertown Barn on 199, chasama North is an artist-in-residency program that has been running for the past four years.
By the way, my name is Sung and I’ll be blogging and teaching cooking classes at Hammertown this fall, but more on that elsewhere…
Well it’s certainly not a bad thing this weekend!!
TriArts Theatre in Sharon CT is presenting their 9th Annual “Diva-themed” production at the Sharon Playhouse this weekend (August 22, 23 & 24). The Diva shows have become a favorite end-of-the-season event, starting with the first incarnation, “Night of 100 Divas” in 2000. Since then, various themes have been used such as “Divas Do Nashville”, “Divas Do Broadway”, “Divas Do Hollywood”…featuring popular songs from different styles and eras of music. This year, however, things are a little different and a lot more exciting for TriArts — this year’s show is “Divas Do Berkeley”. Who’s Berkeley you ask?

Having spent her professional career writing and producing in the film and television industry, she had been on a quest to find a small studio to do her work. Ultimately this brought her to a “little house” in the village of Rhinecliff, sitting on a 100 foot cliff overlooking the Hudson.
